Step 03 - Booking Alternative Lessons During Our Trial Weeks
As we transition to our new venues, we are introducing Trial Weeks, giving families the flexibility to book lessons while we adapt to our new locations. This period will allow us to refine our schedules, ensure smooth operations, and make any necessary adjustments to provide the best learning experience for our swimmers.
Overcoming Challenges & Moving Forwards
Originally, we anticipated being fully closed during the DOYRMS maintenance period. However, over the past few months, we have worked tirelessly to find alternatives—including building our own facility—so that families who wish to continue swimming can do so.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to:
- Our dedicated team, who have worked behind the scenes to secure MSA, develop lesson plans, create rotas, ensure compliance, and prepare for this transition.
- The families and supporters who have contributed through donations and fundraising efforts to aid the maintenance of DOYRMS.
- Our community, for your patience, encouragement, and ongoing support.
Without this collective effort, we wouldn’t have been able to continue offering swimming lessons supporting our community—especially at a time when both Deal and Folkestone are without a local leisure centre providing Learn to Swim programmes.
Trial Weeks: March 24th – April 19th
During this period, we will be testing different lesson times and structures at our new venues to determine the best approach. Lessons will be added weekly to our bookng site during these weeks, so families can book as and when they are available.
These weeks will focus on:
- Lesson Organisation – Understanding what works best at each location
- Essential Information – Ensuring families receive accurate details
- Team Procedures – Adapting our processes for each venue
Please bear with us during this period—there may be minor delays, last-minute adjustments, or additional updates as we fine-tune our operations. We truly appreciate your patience and support!
Photography Week
A photographer will be present at both locations throughout the Trial Weeks. If you do not consent to your child being photographed, please notify SafelySwim in advance. These images will be used exclusively for SafelySwim marketing and will not be shared or sold externally. Please see our Photography Policy for further details.
