Creating our own Learn to Swim Criteria.

SafelySwim has come so far in one year, we have increased in size, increased in experience and increased in knowledge. We believe the time has come to separate ourselves from Swim England and start creating our own path in the Learn to Swim industry.

From 2019 SafelySwim will be following its own stage criteria to benefit those in our classes and private lessons. This will help to reflect our current stages and progression along the pathway to competitive swimming and being safe in the water. Our Criteria has been built around our current and past classes to help improve what’s coming around the corner, we are already proud of the standard of our swimmers and we believe that following our own criteria is the way to move forward.

We ultimately want to be recognised as an independent swim school that puts pupils first and find the best way to deliver quality lessons. Creating our own criteria will be a huge benefit to our swim school and our teachers, rather than following a path already created that does not work in our favour and to our existing customer base.

We are in the process of creating and issuing our own certificates and badges to those that achieve the next level in their swimming progression. This movement is to justify our independence away from a governing body to ensure the children that are with us come first and are made priority. We also hope these certificates are better quality and hold a more meaning that those we previously used.

Finally, SafelySwim will be continuing to tailor its sessions not only to younger children but also its competitive swimmers. Our first Christmas Camp is currently under way and hopefully we will be able to run more throughout the year.
