Selecting September Lessons

We are excited to be moving into our new normal, providing lessons across two venues from September. We’re looking forward to welcoming those who continued through the DOYRMS closure, those who have been on pause, and – of course – those who will soon be joining us for the first time!

To help everyone understand the next steps, we’ve listed all the changes ready for September. Please ensure you have read and understood the information below.

Group Lessons

September is just around the corner, and it’s time to confirm your lesson slots as we prepare for the final stage back to our new normality. To make the process fair, we’ll be offering priority bookings via email</a>, to those in the following order:

  • Monday 18th August - Currently participating weekly swimmers.
  • Tuesday 19th August - Swimmers currently on pause.
  • Monday 25th August - Those on our waiting list.
  • September Onwards - New swimmers who have enquired over the summer.

Once you’ve chosen your new Group Lesson class, your subscription will update automatically for a September start.

Make your selection by Sunday 24th August – after this date, any unconfirmed places will be released, and you’ll need to join the waiting list to re-enrol.

Private Lessons

If you participate in weekly regular Private Lessons, you’ll also need to select your new time online. These will be updated for September onwards.

Due to changes in our lesson schedules, evenings and venues, there will be limited Private Lesson availability until October 2025, when several instructors graduate from our teacher training programme.

If you can’t secure a regular private slot right now, you’re welcome to join a Group Lesson to continue progressing. If you’d like to return to a private lesson in October, simply let our admin team know.

Learn to Compete - Pathway Changes

From September, all new swimmers in Learn to Compete must also participate in and complete Stages 4 & 5.

Learn to Compete is designed to run alongside our Learn to Swim pathway, ensuring swimmers continue with water safety, activity, and technique sessions while building their competitive skills.

Poolside Footwear Update

From 1st September, removing shoes on poolside will be mandatory at all venues. Overshoes will be provided, but we kindly ask parents to bring alternative footwear such as sliders or sandals to help keep our facilities clean, hygienic, and safe for everyone.

Baby & Toddler Classes - Now on Monthly Subscription From September onwards, we’re moving our Baby & Toddler classes at DOYRMS to a monthly subscription — making it easier for parents to continue lessons, spread the cost into smaller payments, and enjoy a smooth transition into Seahorses when ready.

Sessions will remain at £12.50 per class and new classes have already been created ready for swimmers to return on a regular basis.

Our Commitment to You

Our commitment has always remained the same – to offer the best Learn to Swim experience for our community.

As we grow into our new position in the area, caring for our families, local schools, clubs, and swimmers of all abilities, we are incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown us over the past 5 months. Your encouragement has allowed us to continue growing and return stronger than ever – and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
