Safety, Inclusion & Transparency at SafelySwim
The recent BBC Panorama episode, “The Dark Side of Swimming Clubs”, highlights deeply concerning issues within parts of the swimming community. At SafelySwim, we want to reassure our swimmers, parents, and team that safety, inclusion, and trust are at the heart of everything we do.
We run an inclusive training squad - White Cliffs Swimming Club - that is built on mutual respect and safeguarding for all participants—whether you’re a swimmer, parent, or coach. Each session is carefully structured to create a positive, supportive space where individuals can grow, feel secure, and truly thrive. For many, the pool is one of the few places they feel confident to be themselves — a welcome escape from the pressures of everyday life and at the moment, exams!
At SafelySwim, we recognise and nurture this, continuing to champion an environment where everyone feels valued and uplifted.
