Tier Three and What it Means for us.

We are super excited to be returning on the 2nd December, we have been looking at our classes and are happy and confident we fit within the guidelines. The quotes below best fit us and what we do at SafelySwim.

“leisure and sports facilities may continue to stay open, but group exercise classes (including fitness and dance) should not go ahead. Saunas and steam rooms should close”

“organised indoor sport, physical activity and exercise classes cannot take place indoors. There are exceptions for indoor disability sport, sport for educational purposes and supervised sport and physical activity for under-18s

These two quotes indicate that we are able to re-open the swimming pool to our customers and offer ‘organised indoor sport’ to those aged 18 and under. As we are apart of the National Curriculum and are seen as educational this adds another key factor to our reasoning to re-open.

Furthermore, looking at the ‘exemption form gathering limits in all tiers’ heading the following apply to us.

“for childcare, education or training – meaning education and training provided as part of a formal curriculum”

“for supervised activities provided for children, including wraparound care (before and after-school childcare), groups and activities for under 18s, and children’s playgroups”

“for formal support groups, and parent and child groups – up to 15 people aged 5 and older”

This means that our Speed Through Technique, Learn to Compete and Group Lessons can return in a socially distant manner. Our Private lessons will also be able to continue as well as our Baby and Toddler sessions.

We will be in touch with those that had a booking space in all classes for November about a restart date. We look forward to welcome you all back next week!
