Keleeces' Experience at SafelySwim
I started working at SafelySwim in October 2018 and have enjoyed every moment since then! It has been a great opportunity for me to develop my own teaching skills whilst working in a fun and dynamic environment. By observing the team, I have been able to develop my own teaching style, giving me the confidence to work with all age groups and abilities.
I qualified as a level 1 swim assistant after many years of competitive training. Through competitions I gained a good understanding of the required discipline and commitment required in the world of swimming. After gaining experience through volunteer work at my swimming club I came to join the SafelySwim team. A few months into 2019 I started taking on private lessons, this was the next important step down my teaching pathway.
It’s great to work in such a positive atmosphere, not only from staff, but from parents and children as well. While teaching I often hear background noise from the parents on poolside encouraging and cheering the swimmers on. This warm and nurturing environment alongside the great team I interact with makes SafelySwim a brilliant workplace.
My future goals are to develop my teaching skills further and go on to achieve my level 2 swimming teacher’s qualification. My experience so far with SafelySwim has been incredible and I hope to continue working with the team in the future.
