Why we’re always investing in new equipment and our pool!

At SafelySwim we want every single one of our customers to have the best swimming experience possible. Whether that’s a nervous non-swimmer who’s just starting their first ever swimming lesson, a competitive swimmers who is fine tuning their technique or a parent who has to sit on poolside and watch their child swim. To make this happen we are continually developing our swimming lessons to ensure they’re the very best they can be!

Each month we have a budget purely to keep our equipment fun and fresh. This helps to make our lessons exciting and ensure our children want to keep coming back. A child that loves their swimming lesson will also develop more quickly so it’s a win-win for everyone. We also regularly buy new floats to ensure they are clean and safe. There is nothing worse than trying to learn to swim with equipment that’s dirty and covered in bite marks! We want a positive environment and if something as simple as new floats helps create that then it’s an investment that we are more than happy to make. Different toys also allow us to introduce new activities to our group and private lessons and ensure they are interesting and engaging. You wouldn’t believe how much fun both our children and teachers can have with a squirty fish! The fun element is also vital to encourage a nervous swimmer to do something which they’re not so keen on. This often involves squirting the teacher in the face!

It’s not just our learn to swim lessons which benefit from monthly investments. Recent additions to our competitive programmes include a heart rate monitor to help maximise training and a new bungee cord for resistance training. This equipment ensures our speed through technique sessions and camps are a step ahead of the rest and give us the ability to educate our swimmers. They’re not just working hard, they know why they are working hard and how this affects their training. This gives them the edge over their competitiors and delivers lots of fast swims and personal bests.

At SafelySwim we want to ensure the pool environment is the best it can possibly be, we are constantly communicating to the Duke of York’s staff to see what we can do to improve the pool environment and keep running as efficiently as possible. We are currently looking at how the changing facilities can be improved to make the swimming lesson experience as painless as possible for all of our families.
