6 Month Report

I started SafelySwim at The Duke of Yorks in January 2018, after two years of private lessons at both St Margarets and Dover Leisure Centre. On the 1st of January SafelySwim had 26 swimmers on record, all of which were private lessons ranging between the ages of 4 and 16 years old.

Introducing India Ribbans

India Ribbans joined SafelySwim as our second teacher at the end of January. India was chosen due to her commitment to the sport, and excellent teaching skills and qualifications. After a few weeks of marketing and social media posts SafelySwim had grown to 57 swimmers, 40% of which were in our newly created group classes ranging from Stages 1 to 3.

New Group Classes

As classes grew, more were created to support all the enquiries about our Learn to Swim programme. Lee Shepherd was the third teacher to join SafelySwim in the month of April. Lee stood out to us as a driven individual, who shows great enjoyment for teaching and has extensive knowledge of competitive swimmers. This movement increased SafelySwim’s capacity, and we are now running at 560% compared to when we began in January.

Student Totals

I am very proud to announce we are now at 146 pupils split between group classes, private lessons, and competitive technique sessions. We want to thank all of the loyal parents and guardians who visit us each and every week, without your support and dedication we would not be able to have a role in the industry we are passionate about.

We are very excited to see what will happen to SafelySwim in the next 6 months, we look to expand to another day and continue to create more group lesson slots throughout. We are also excited to continue to expand our team of stand out dedicated swim tutors.
