Different Teachers Different Techniques

Not every teacher believes in the same technique, we all have different preferred ways to reach the end goal. Finding the right teacher that suits your ways of working and engages your imagination and determination to do better is what matters.

We have 3 main elements we recommend you look for when deciding which teacher to have for your child or your-self.

  1. Motivation – Everyone reacts differently to different people, some like a coaching approach that is less calm and more shout, however some prefer a more chilled environment to concentrate and take things slowly. Do you know which way you prefer? We recommend finding out which way suits you as often do we find a change in teaching style will improve your development.

  2. Positivity – Everyone loves to be complimented on how they look or how they swim. But is too much too much for you? Different teachers use different approaches to relay constructive criticisms. Some prefer to use the direct approach, some prefer the balance approach by mixing it with a complement. What way works for you?

  3. Connectivity – Do you react better with someone you trust? Finding the right person can be as simple as choosing between a male or female, everyone is different and reacts differently to different types of people. Stereotype or not, connecting with the right person that believes you can do something is what everyone wants and it’s something you personally got to look for when choosing the right tutor.

I hope this helps you decide what type of teacher suits your personality and style of being taught. At the end of the day, you are not at school, SafelySwim allows you to choose your tutor to suit your needs and requirements.
